A NEVER DISSAPOINTING VISIT!!!! These were the words by our loyal guest Mr.Husson who has visited lake Elmenteita Serena Camp three times. And his latest visit to the camp was extra special as he was the first guest in 2016 to spot our latest visitors during a game drive, the big cats including lions and a leopard which is a big deal for us here at Soysambu Conservancy.

Back on 24th December 2014, Husson drove into the camp, booked for a lunch after which he settled for a short evening game drive to discover what the conservancy offered in terms of flora and fauna. Seated comfortably in our 4×4 Land cruiser, the adventure began. Shorty into the drive, we came across a leopard relaxing up on a yellow barked Acacia Tree. We drove for another 100m,we encountered another big cat up on another acacia; this time, three tree climbing lions making it a day well spent!!

Fast forward to 2016, on a laid back Sunday,Mr.Husson booked in and set out on another evening drive.Things turned out almost identical to what happened the last time. We spotted a leopard up on the same acacia tree from the time. With our engine turned off, we thought we would try our luck and see if we would sight a lion and what do you know, an elegant lioness emerged accompanied by a young juvenile and came to stand next to our vehicle. We were surrounded by two Big Cats, a Leopard and 2 Lions.!!! This is what makes game drives so special; you never know what you might see!!
