Zanzibar Serena Hotel to Host the First Ever Art Auction

Pristine beaches, distinct architecture, art, rich history of Stone Town (World Heritage Site), culture, food are some of the main aspects that make Zanzibar one of the most sought-after beach destinations. And to uncover one of these aspects; Art, Zanzibar Serena Hotel has partnered with Forster Gallery Zanzibar to host the first-ever international art auction. The art auction will take place on the 11th December 2021 and will feature 24 art pieces from all over Africa up for auction. Additionally, the auction will also be available online on the same date from 9 p.m. (local time Zanzibar: UTC +3).

About Forster Gallery 

Markus (The Founder of Forster Gallery) has been living in Zanzibar for the last ten years and he has established an art gallery showcasing outstanding works of various local and African art greats. The collection is of exceptional quality.

“I have been living and working in Tanzania for the last 15 years. In 2008 I opened the Art Hotel Zanzibar to make it possible to experience African art and culture in a new way. We work closely with artists and galleries from all over the African continent.”
