Serena Hotels gets 20 nominations for World Travel Awards 2016

Ten Serena Hotel establishments have made it to the nominees list of the World Travel Awards 2016, with Serena Hotels earning a nomination in the Africa’s Leading Hotel Brand category. Nairobi Serena Hotel leads other Serena Hotels establishments after bagging four nominations in the Africa’s Leading Green Hotel, Kenya’s Leading Hotel, Kenya’s Leading Business Hotel and Africa’s Leading City Hotel categories.

Kigali Serena Hotel and Kampala Serena Hotel, last year’s winners of the Leading Hotels in Rwanda and Uganda respectively, have also earned a nomination in the same category, with Kampala Serena Hotel sharing a nomination with Lake Victoria Serena Resort for the Leading Hotel in Uganda 2016. Nairobi Serena Hotel and Dar es Salaam Serena Hotels share Africa’s Leading City Hotel category. Serena Mountain Lodge and Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge share a category in Kenya’s Leading Safari Lodge.

For the first time ever, Zanzibar Serena Hotel has been nominated as Tanzania’s Leading Boutique Hotel in addition to being nominated as Zanzibar’s leading Hotel

This brings the number of nominations in Africa alone to 20. Below is a list of respective Hotels nominated for the awards together with their categories:

The WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS (WTA) is considered the “Oscar Awards” of the Travel Industry. The WTA brand is recognized globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.

The winners will be announced on the night of the WTA Grand Final on 9th of April 2016.
